The hotel business is considered as a specific type of entrepreneurial activity in the world economy. The industry is the basis for the potential growth of national tourism and building country brand in the eyes of the international community. The Republic of Kazakhstan has a powerful tourism potential that is not always used effectively enough. For its development, it is necessary to create a modern infrastructure and first of all accommodation sector, which includes hotels. Today, the hotel business in Kazakhstan is developing rapidly and new placements are arising every year. However, after the economy transition to market relations, the new problem arised: formation of competitive advantages for hotel enterprises through the use of new organizational forms and management relations. Thus, the problem of hotel management in Kazakhstan has an exceptional relevance and needs a deep theoretical study, integrated analysis and development of informed recommendations on this basis. In view of this, the present research is involved in analysis of hotel industry in Kazakhstan and identification of the factors for its potential development. The investigations were conducted in the form of primary and secondary researches. In these researches the hotel industry and hotel management in Kazakhstan were analyzed in details (overall situation, main indicators, attractiveness of the industry,major advantages and disadvantages). Based on the results of the researches, the recommendations and perspectives for improvement and future development were provided.
